I think that you have seen the following information from the WC organiser:

[Editor’s Note – the information that Frederic is referring below to has appeared on the World Champs web site www.faif1abc.com. There has been much discussion about this this on social media. There is some confusion how one gets the registration cards and how it relates to the Budapest Cup that precedes the World champs]

“Please note that because of security reasons the whole territory (not only the field of the competition, but all the related roads and surroundings) will be closed. That means that those who do not have a registration card, will not be allowed to approach the field and to enter the road that leads to the site. Registration card can be given only those wo will be registered and will be present personally at the modell processing (registration) itself. The last deadline for requiring registration cards is the time of the modell processing (personal registration). Each cards can only be taken over to the related persons personally.Everyone is oblidged to wear the registration card during the whole competition, it is especially important in case of those who collect the models. WE NEED TO CALL EVERYONE’S ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING:The location of the event is a landscape protection area (since it is a part of the National Park). The conservation of the whole territory and its surroundings is OBLIGATORY and EXPECTED from everyone. PLEASE NOTE that the breaking of such rule leads to serious consequences during the Budapest World Cup, the World Championships, trainings, etc.The above mentioned notice is extremely important in order we can avoid any kind of bad incidents.I.e.: During the Budapest World Cup in 2016, a really serious and severe incident happened: Someone has shoved a stack of straw off the tunel, as a result of which later a crane was needed for hoisting it from the water. After one year, from the day of today the owners of the field decided to debar the usage of the territory, therefore we have DELETED the „A” flying site.It means that ONLY „B” flying site is available, which is under the same regulation that „A” flying site was, as it is also a landscape protection area!It is important to emphasize that all the above mentioned rules are OBLIGATORY and KEEPABLE by everyone during the whole time of the Budapest Cup and the World Championships. Breaking of the rules leads to serious consequences and immediate disqualification. Taken into account the above mentioned facts and experiences, ALL THE CARS (one by one) and EVERYONE (individually and numerically) will be registered. It is necessary in order we could validate the punishment on the responsible ones, personally. We would like to call everyone’s attention once again, that all the ones who are attending to the event are responsible for the damages caused on the field, during the Budapest Cup, the World Championships and the trainings as well. We would like to ask everyone to be out to use the territory and its surroundings as intended and try to avoid and prevent any kind of damages. In case of any incident happens, please inform the organizers immediatly, without any delay”

Is it possible to make a WC in such conditions? Dear Mr Kaynes, I hope that you will seriously ask to the organisers to consider free flyer as responsible person. Some competitor will come with helpers, children and for sure, some will forget registration card. What will happen?

Dear organiser, if you are not able to find a field where we can compete friendly, STOP to organise such event.

1. Vzemite na znanje, da bo zaradi varnostnih razlogov celotno področje zaprto (ne samo teren tekmovanja, temveč tudi vse z njim povezane ceste in okolica). To pomeni, da tistim, ki ne bodo imeli registracijskih kartic, ne bo dovoljeno se približati tekmovališču in vstopiti na ceste, ki vodijo na lokacijo.
2. Registracijske kartice lahko dobijo le tisti, ki bodo registrirani in osebno prisotni na tehničnem pregledu modelov (registraciji). Zadnji rok za zahteve za registracijske kartice je tehnični pregled modelov (osebna registracija). Kartico lahko prevzame vsak le osebno.
3. Vsi so dolžni nositi registracijsko kartico ves čas tekmovanja, to je še posebej pomembno za tiste, ki bodo vračali modele.
4. VSI MORAJO BITI POZORNI NA NASLEDNJE:
- Lokacija tekmovanja je zaščiteno področje (je del Narodnega parka). Varovanje vsega področja in okolice je OBVEZNO in SE PRIČAKUJE od vsakogar.
- OPOZARJAMO da ima kršitev takega pravila resne posledice za Budapest World Cup, Svetovno prvenstvo, trninge, itd... Zgoraj omenjeno obvestilo je izjemno pomembno v izogib kakršnim koli 'slabim' incidentom.
- npr: Med tekmovanjem Budapest cup 2016 se je zgodil resen in hud incident: Nekdo je izkopal snop slame iz tunela, zaradi česar je bil kasneje potreben žerjav, da ga je dvihnil iz vode. Po enem letu, od danes so se lastniki odločili, da ne dovolijo uporabe terena, tako da smo morali IZBRISATI teren "A".(op. - zelo nerazumljiv opis dogodka in posledic, prevod je dobeseden)
- to pomeni, da je na voljo SAMO "B" teren, za katerega veljajo enaka pravila, kot so veljala za teren "A", ker je tudi to zaščiteno področje.
- Pomembno je poudariti, da so vsa zgoraj omenjena pravila OBVEZNA in se jih MORAJO DRŽATI vsi v času Budapest Cup-a in Svetovnega prvenstva. Kršenje pravil vodi k resnim posledicam in takojšnji diskvalifikaciji. Glede na zgoraj omenjena dejstva in izkušnje bodo VSI AVTOMOBILI (eden za drugim) in VSI (op. - verjetno VSE OSEBE) (posamično in številčno) registrirani ob registraciji pred Svetovnim prvenstvom. To je potrebno, da bomo lahko osebno kaznovali odgovorne.
- Še enkrat bi radi vse opozorili, da so tisti, ki se bodo udeležili dogodka, odgovorni za škodo, ki jo povzročijo na terenu med Budapest Cup-om, Svetovnim prvenstvom in tudi med treningi.
- Vse naprošamo, da teren in okolico uporabljajo za osnovni namen in se poskusijo izogniti in preprečiti kakršnokoli škodo. Če se zgodi kakšen incident, prosimo, da takoj, brez odlašanja obvestite organizatorje.
- Registracijska kartica je potrebna le na 3 dneve Svetovnega prvenstva.
- Naš cilj je organizirati prijazen in nepozaben dogodek. Prijazno vas naprošamo, da obvestite organizatorje, če na terenu opazite kakšno neznano osebo, ki je ne morete povezati z modelarji.
- Naš cilj je, da bi lahko identificirali vsakogar in tako vedeli, kateri ekipi pripada. To je ključno v primeru kakšnih nepričakovanih dogodkov (kršitve miru, škode, če bi bila potrebna medicinska pomoč, če bi kdo izginil).
- Vsem želimo dobre priprave in veliko sreče na tekmovanju!

Če povzamemo
- VSI ljudje in VSI avtomobili morajo biti registrirani, in to najkasneje na dan registracije, ko morajo biti tudi tam prisotni in prevzeti identifikacijeke kartice
- pazite da ne naredite škode, ker boste kaznovani

Ni pa povsem jasno ali lahko registracijske kartice dobijo tudi gledalci, ki niso prijavljeni v ekipah in če jih lahko - če je to zastonj ali je potrebno kaj plačati. Po nekih drugih informacijah iz individualnih stikov z organizatorji, je menda treba tudi za ne-člane ekip plačati po 50 EUR.

Our AUS team manager Mike Pettigrew got this clarifying reply from Anita (the official contact point for the World Champs and Budapest Cup) regarding Registration cards:

Dear Mike,

The registration cards will be given at the time of the registration on 7th August and the wearing of them is considerable for the 3 days of the world championships.

The B flying field can be used from 2nd August and for training the Bp. CUP as well. For this period the cards are not necessary (there is no possibility to give them to everyone before the registration). But obviously the rules for the conservation of the area are still valid for the whole period.

Naša ekipa bo na Madžarsko odšla večinoma po sistemu 'vsak po svoje'. Nekateri se bodo udeležili tekmovanja za svetovni pokal, drugi le prvenstva. Vremenska napoved kaže, da bund zagotovo ne bodo potrebovali, bodo pa prav prišli koščki blaga in kreme za zaščito pred soncem s faktorjem vsaj 30, raje več Smile

Vsem članom ekipe - tekmovalcem in podpornikom želimo srečno pot, prijetno bivanje na Madžarskem, ugodno vreme s primernimi tekmovalnimi pogoji, dobro medsebojno sodelovanje in čim uspešnejše nastope!

Vse, ki bomo tekmovanje spremljali od daleč, pa še enkrat opozarjamo na nekoliko drugačen urnik, kot običajno na tovrstnih tekmovanjih - kategorije se bodo zvrstile v zaporedju CBA in ne ABC, kot običajno.

Tekmovalni dnevi v Szentesu si bodo sledili tako:
Sobota, 5.8. - Budapest Cup - vse kategorije
Sreda, 9.8. - WCh tekmovalni dan za kategorijo F1C
Četrtek, 10.8. - WCh tekmovalni dan za kategorijo F1B
Petek, 11.8. - WCh tekmovalni dan za kategorijo F1A
Sobota, 12.8. - rezervni dan

The field was officially available for testing from Wednesday. People from Argentina, USA, Russia and New Zealand were found there bright and early. People were flying from one edge of the field to take advantage of the wind direction. It was quite breezy but some brave types did put in some test flights. The wind seemed to drop a little as the temperature rose. Temp was in the 35-37 range by midday.

It seems that they were accepting entries even long after the deadline (June 10), but with a penalty (50 EUR instead of 30 EUR as written in the bulletin). Interesting policy.
